Opdicom's revolutionary OpdiTracker
disc management software, database and search engine are the
foundation for an exciting new
solution to handle the management and archiving of your data CDs, DVDs, music
and game discs.
OpdiTracker runs on Windows and Mac computers, integrating with the Windows
Explorer environment and working in a similar way to Mac Finder. It is supported on
the following platforms:
- Microsoft Windows XP, 2000 (SP4), ME, 98 SE
- Macintosh OS X (version 10.1 or higher)
You can run OpdiTracker as stand-alone software to manage and control your
disc library.
The power of OpdiTracker is fully deployed when combined with hardware
incorporating Opdicom's
OpdiStore technology. Discs can then be stored in an Opdi-certified
storage unit, and when they are needed again, a simple search using
OpdiTracker will retrieve them. OpdiTracker comes with a password protection
system that facilitates access control to each Opdi-certified storage unit.
About OpdiTracker Standard edition
Whenever you insert a new disc into your computer's CD or DVD drive,
OpdiTracker can automatically recognize it and provide you with the option to add its name
and file structure to the database.
The OpdiTracker database can hold details of all your optical discs,
including the following:
- disc name
- disc type (e.g. data CD or video DVD)
- disc content (e.g. file names and directory structures for data CDs, or
track names, lengths, and artists for audio CDs)
- disc description (e.g. keywords and other details to help you identify and
locate the disc)
- disc location (e.g. the physical location of the disc, or the name of the
person who currently has the disc and when it is due to be returned)
The OpdiTracker software provides a number of different tools for the access
and control of its database. These include a powerful search function, database
management tools including backup and restore, reporting capabilities, and
advanced database editing capabilities.
OpdiTracker Standard edition comes bundled with popular disc management solutions such as the Imation Disc Stakka. You can also purchase it as a stand-alone disc and content management tool.
About the OpdiTracker Pro upgrade
You can upgrade to the Pro (Professional) edition of OpdiTracker to receive additional disc
management features including the following:
- security features, including the ability to assign passwords and set group
and user permissions for individual discs
- additional search functionality
- additional database reporting
- the ability to create custom 'groups' and 'user defined fields' to better
sort and search for your discs
- additional security and management capabilities for hardware incorporating
OpdiStore technology (such as the Imation Disc Stakka)
